Classy Colors

Experimenting with new colors in your wardrobe can be exciting and yet scary at the same time.  Most people that I have talked to are chronic black and white offenders.  Now that is not a bad thing by any means however the newest trends have moved on from black and white to more coral's and teals.  These are what I like to call classy colorsWhenever I feel like I need a touch of color I default to coral and this outfit from Christina's is no different.
This awesome blazer from Karen Kane is to die for! I absolutely love the short sleeves and the neckline.
These Yellowbox shoes are way too cute! I love the straps and how perfect is this color?!
I went for a softer look for this outfit because lets face it not everyone likes bright and bold.  This Big Buddha purse and David Kahn capris are perfect.
Christina always has a wide variety of adorable and affordable jewelry in her Wednesday night Facebook Page sales! How awesome is the one I'm wearing?!
Thanks again to Christina for another awesome outfit! So many cute outfits so little time! Everyone head over to Christina's who will be having a HUGE Yellowbox shoe sale starting tomorrow through Tuesday! You won't want to miss out!!!

Daily Makeup Routine!

So for the longest time people have asked me how I get my eyeshadow to look the way that it does.. I decided a tutorial was a must.  Today I'm going to show you how to recreate this look.
First thing you want to do is cover your eye lids with your foundation. Make sure they are the same color as the rest of your face.
Next find a neutral color that is very close to your skin tone. I like the color Beige from Bobbi Brown, it adds just the right amount of shimmer.
Next pick a base color that you want to use to blend with the other colors you are using.  I went for the traditional smokey eye today. For my base color I used a purple tinted shade from Sephora's line called Fairy Princess.
I always start shading from the outside corner of my eye and work my way in, next I took the darker shade of purple which is called Fireworks from Sephora's line and applied it on top of the lighter shade, also starting from the outside in.
Next take your eyeliner and use it across the bottom of your lid and on top, I like to use pencil on the bottom lid and liquid eyeliner on the top.  I used the color black on both lids and both the liquid eyeliner and pencil are from E.L.F. Cosmetics.
Finally, I add some mascara.  Mascara is a really awesome thing, especially if you find the right brand.  I was introduced to Benefit Cosmetics, They're Real, mascara and have been obsessed ever since!!!
To add an extra finishing touch I used Benefit Cosmetics Sugarbomb blush and some Glossy Gloss lip gloss from Sephora.
This completes my morning eye routine using all these products!
Hope you enjoyed! Have a great day!!

Distressed: Kut Edition

Distressed denim is something most people love or hate.  There is rarely an in between opinion on it.  I am one who LOVES it! One of my favorite looks to accomplish is using distressed denim with a classy counterpart and make a very rugged classy outfit.  That is exactly the look I was going for with this outfit today!
I normally find myself gravitating to the darker tinted denim however when I saw these cropped pants from Kut From The Kloth, I fell in love. They fit more loosely than other pants I own and I love it.  Very laid back and very comfortable.  I was so excited when I got the opportunity to partner with this fabulous brand because I truly am obsessed with them! You can take a look at their boyfriend styles (here).  Thank you to Kut From The Kloth for making such amazing jeans and making them look good at any size! It is greatly appreciated! Check out the rest of their spring collection, trust me it's to die for!
Have a great day!

Alumni... Hey That's Me!

On Friday I completed one of the most exciting milestones in my life.  I am now an official graduate with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication Studies! Talk about exciting! I am still on cloud 9! I am so excited that I got to share it with my family and friends! It was a huge accomplishment for me and can not believe I am done! This is the outfit I rocked on Graduation Day!
I was so sad because I had planned to wear these adorable shoes for graduation but due to having to have knee surgery this coming Thursday I was told, no high heels and only flat shoes.  Talk about crushing a girls dream... oh well I rocked some pretty awesome Yellow Box flip flops instead!
My grandpa bought me this gorgeous necklace from Target and it was perfect for this high neckline!
These red shoes I got from Lulus are to die for! How cute are they!?
Love this black dress from Target, the high neckline and pleats are absolutely adorable and sophisticated!
So happy to finally be done with school and on to bigger and better things... well, after knee surgery that is!
