Blessed... Happy 1st Birthday Graceful Glamour Girl!

So I'm sure you have already realized that today is Graceful Glamour Girl's first birthday! What a year it has been! I started my blog to originally showcase outfits I could put together, however it has evolved into something so much bigger than that.  I decided I wanted to aim this blog for young women who are struggling with self image, self esteem and the decision of choosing right from wrong.  I want to show young girls that it is classy and awesome to dress conservatively.  I am beyond blessed that it has taken off and will forever be grateful to the people who read Graceful Glamour Girl.  I am inspired by everything I see, every shape or color gets my head spinning for my next outfit.

I had knee surgery in June and what should have been detrimental to my blog actually only set me back a few weeks.  I am beyond grateful to my mother who is my main photographer.  She has kept me going, put me in check and is a professional background finder.  It is amazing to have such supportive parents, friends and family.  I can not thank you enough from the bottom of my heart.  Like I stated in my first YouTube video, October is going to be one exciting month for me. I can't wait to share everything! Be sure to follow me on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for all my most recent updates and photos.  Also, don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin' (instructions are on the right hand column of the screen) you will get emailed directly when I update my blog.

God is so good and I am so blessed for this life I lead.  This blog is proof that if you put your heart and soul into something, your hard work will pay off.  Hope you all have an amazing evening and a fantastic week! God Bless!

City Sleek!

So as I mentioned in a previous post, my family and I decided to brave the cold temperature and potentially crazy people and get in line mega early for the release of Phillip Lim for Target. Honestly it was a blast! I was so impressed at how practical this collaboration was.  Everything truly fit to size and I was so excited that these were actually pieces I would wear on a day to day basis.  That being said I snagged this skirt and cream colored top which is the perfect combination for a night out on the town or a day at the office.  I added some black flats, because I still wobble in heels after surgery.  Lets not forget that the weather is getting colder and taking a jacket with you is always a must!
As I get ready for LuckyFABB (Lucky Magazine's Fashion and Beauty Blogging Conference) next month this outfit is definitely a top ten contender for the conference! Get ready NYC... Here I come!!!!

Silk Supreme!

So how bright is this shirt!!??! I absolutely love it! Although I will be honest, I had no idea that an all silk shirt would be SOO hot. Obviously that fabric does not breathe at all! I paired it with some simple black leggings from Target and some awesome tan boots.  Then I couldn't wait to add this adorable gray bag from Phillip Lim for Target.  Super adorable outfit and very practical once it cools off again!

The Secret Garden!

Since most of the craziness surrounding Phillip Lim for Target has finally died down, I thought it would be a great time to mix and match some of his awesome pieces with some other designer items.  I have to hand it to my parents, the day of the Phillip Lim for Target release we were in Napa, and without thinking twice they were more than jazzed to get up at the crack of dawn to stand in line with me to get the items I wanted it.  They were great bodyguards! There were some crazy's! I paired this gorgeous embellished black top with these awesome bright coral pants I scored from TJ Maxx. Then of course had to add one of the purses I got to give it some extra color! Absolutely love this outfit! Perfect for a night out on the town!
Happy Friday!

Bright Sunshine!

Last weekend I had a blast going to Napa, CA with my family.  I have always loved Napa, there is just something about being surrounded by vineyards that is so peaceful.  We found this spot in downtown Napa and LOVED all the color! This outfit is so perfect for Napa.  I took my graduation dress and wanted to jazz it up a bit so I added this adorable blazer from Jennifer Lopez's line for Kohls.  Then added this amazingly sparkly necklace from J.Crew.  Top it off with some black pumps and your set! LOVE IT!
Have a fantastic Tuesday!

Cheetah Craze!

Well I left the best for last! This is the 3rd outfit from my collaboration with Helen & Louise.  Can I just say how in love I am with this Cheetah print shirt from MissMe.  I have been a fan of MissMe for a very long time and they never cease to come out with new amazing items every season.  I'm so glad that Helen & Louise is my local go to shop to find these new pieces! I paired this awesome shirt with some denim jeans from Mother Denim.  I added a gold necklace and tassel black purse to finish the look.  This outfit is perfect for lunch with a friend or a dinner date! So excited to transition into fall with some darker colors! I owe a huge thank you to Jackie at Helen & Louise for partnering with me on this project.  I am so blessed to have met you and can't wait to work on future projects with you!
Have a happy Sunday!

Rusted Details!

This outfit was so fun to put together! This was the second outfit I came up with for my collaboration with Helen & Louise.  I love how edgy this combination looks and was so excited to put it all together! I'm really starting to get into different colored pants.  I'm normally a blue jeans person but I really love how these colored pants made this outfit pop.  The jacket and the shirt are great compliments to each other.  The ivory against the black really stand out and help give this outfit some edge. Top it off with a statement necklace and clutch and you're good to go!  You can find all these great pieces at Helen & Louise in Merced! LOVE IT!

Downtown Distractions!

First off can I just say how amazing this MissMe vest is??? I mean honestly, such an adorable addition to an outfit.  I had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with one of my favorite stores the other day and feeling so blessed! Helen & Louise is such an adorable store with even more adorable clothes.  The owner Jackie is probably one of the sweetest people I have ever met so I was really excited that we got to collaborate together.  I am headed to New York next month for a fashion conference with Lucky Magazine and we wanted to showcase some New York fashion that can be found right here in Merced.  I paired this vest with some beyond comfy black Mother jeans and shiny black pumps.  The white top has to be one of the cutest white tops I have ever seen it is fitted at the bottom and loose up top which is an added comfort.  This BCBGeneration purse and monogram necklace were perfect accessories finish this outfit.  Super cute right?? Even better news... You can find it in store at Helen & Louise! Can't wait to share the other outfits we collaborated on! Stay tuned!
Have a great Friday the 13th!!

The Importance of Ice Cream!

"Today I will be as happy as a bird with a French fry!"

Every year when September 11th roles around it always reminds me of how many people lost loved ones in the 2001 attacks.  I guess you could say it gives me an extra dose of humility and gratefulness. It always reminds me to stop and smell the roses, spend more time laughing and less time stressing.  We never know God's timing and days like yesterday truly remind me of that.

My family is first and foremost my happy place.  I love to be around them and enjoy any amount of time spent with them.  I am very blessed to get along with them and we are all super close.  That being said, my mom always had a rule when we were growing up, it was never too late for ice cream.  I can't remember a time I was ever denied ice cream by my mother.  Now fast forward a decade or two and now having ice cream with my mother is one of my favorite things to do.  When we are having a bad day, having a good day, sad about something, excited about something or just purely craving it, we go and get ice cream.

Maybe it is not the ice cream that is so amazing, maybe its the fact it is one of the most special things that bring my mom and I together multiple times a week.  The other day my mom and I went to Lulu's in Turlock, which happens to be one of my favorite ice cream parlors ever! We got to spend time together and just talk, which is one of the reasons we are so close, we talk A LOT! My mom is my main photographer for my blog and just like ice cream, it has become a great way to spend time with her.  It has given us a chance to bond and become closer than most, which makes me feel truly blessed.  Okay enough rambling, point of the story, go get ice cream with your mom! :)

Have a great day!!

Fall Into Black & White!

I am a firm believer that you should dress in what makes you happy! I personally love black and white, they are always my go to colors when I don't know what to wear! I found this adorable blouse at Target and can I just say, all their fall collection is to die for!!! This blouse went perfect with these awesome distressed jeans from Kut from the Kloth! Seriously my favorite jeans to wear! I topped it off with some adorable black heels and a trendy necklace and bracelets! I also recently found out I have poor vision so of course had to get some pretty adorable glasses! Thanks Fendi, I'm in love!
