5th Avenue Fun!!

Ever since I was a little girl I have been in love with little blue boxes.  I finally was at the mecca of little blue boxes, Tiffany on 5th! It was everything I had imagined it to be! So gorgeous!!!
Such a gorgeous church!
The entrance to St. Patricks Cathedral!
Rockefeller Ice Rink!
Radio City Music Hall!!!
I had such a blast walking up and down 5th avenue! It was so incredible to see all these places in person that I had only seen on television! After walking all over the place my feet were killing me but it was so worth it! Stay tuned for tomorrow's post, it kicks off the festivities of LuckyFABB with an event for Jane Iredale beauty! Can't wait to share!!!
Have a great day!

Day 2 Part 1 in NYC!!!

So on day 2 we decided to go back to Good Morning America because we were invited to and who wouldn't!? The second day was even more fun than the first! I got to really chat with Josh and even snap a photo with Robin Roberts! She is such an inspiration and I felt honored just to get to talk to her!

What an amazing experience! On my way out Josh asked one of his assistants to get me some coffee and to give me an official Good Morning America mug... Yeah, it was pretty awesome! Next stop was the Statue of Liberty! It was my first time seeing this amazing landmark in person and it literally took my breath away.  I happened to be on the phone with my dad when I saw it for the first time and he was cracking up at my reaction! Such an incredible sight to see! It was so neat to pass Ellis Island while on the boat to the Statue of Liberty!

Such a gorgeous city scape behind me!!!
Marihelen caught my excitement on film while I was sending my parents a selfie from the Statue of Liberty while they were at work back in California!!! It was too pretty not to!! Such an amazing feeling being there! So much history and so many stories! So glad I got to see it!! Stay tuned for part 2 of day 2 coming tomorrow!!! A HUGE thank you to Josh at Good Morning America for treating us like family!!!
God Bless the U.S.A.!!!

Second Part of Day 1 in NYC!!!

The second part of day one was one for the books! So even though we were beyond exhausted we were so excited to head to the Lion King on Broadway!!! I was so excited because I was the last person in my family to see it and everyone had been telling me what an incredible experience it is! They were so right! I was so excited to get to see it and it was breathtaking.  I have never experienced something like that before and I highly recommend EVERYONE go see it! It was also my first time being in Times Square at night! How incredible are these photos? The lights and billboards are amazing! I am a huge fan of Vegas purely because I love the lights and sounds, honestly this might have Vegas beat out! If you ever get the chance to go, take it! This is truly a sight to see!
Now about my outfit, it was a bit cold outside so I wanted to wear something practical and warm, yet fancy and pretty.  I had just been to the event in San Francisco with my best friend for the grand opening of the new Express store in Union Square, the Thursday before I left for NYC.  I scored this awesome sweater and blouse underneath while I was there.  The blouse had lace and just the right amount of sparkle! Then I added these maroon pants and boots to give it some warmth! It was perfect for a night on Broadway and in Times Square! Loved it!
Stay tuned for more pictures from my trip!

Day 1 of New York City!!!

So as many of you know, probably all of you, I recently spent 5 days in NYC!!! I was invited to Lucky Magazine's LuckyFABB conference, which is a conference for Fashion and Beauty Bloggers, and decided to go a few days early and see some sights. I flew out with my grandpa's wife Marihelen and we had so much fun... I had such an incredible time and I'm so excited to share all my pictures with you!!!
So immediately after waking up the first day we knew we wanted to go to Good Morning America first.  Now to give you a little background on my sign, Josh was a newscaster in Fresno, CA for a while which happens to be very close to where I live and if you make a sign saying so, he will try his hardest to find you.  Well he did! Josh is one of the most friendliest people ever and his personality is hysterical! He invited us into the studio and we got to watch them film the rest of their segment inside! Sometimes it pays to be from the Central Valley!
This was right before Josh saw my sign and then had an assistant escort us into the studio!
So after the filming of Good Morning America, one of the assistants for the show came up and asked us if we would like to attend a taping of the Katie show.  Of course we said yes, when an ABC assistant asks if you want to attend the filming of a show and there are giveaways involved YOU SAY YES!! So we followed her down to the Subway which is where this picture was taken.  So I took the picture to originally show my friends and family in California what the Subway looks like, then my father remembered this is the subway shot they used in the Crocodile Dundee movie!! Which made it even cooler!!!
The Katie show was okay, I mean don't get me wrong we got a lot of cool free stuff, but it was a totally different experience than how I had imagined it would have been!!! So technically today's post is only half of day 1! Look for tomorrows post featuring more of the city and our walk to The Lion King on Broadway!!! :) So excited to share my trip through photos! Hope you all had a fantastic week! I sure did!!

A Night at Express in San Francisco!!

Last Thursday night was probably one of the coolest things I have got to do in SF.  My best friend Jen and I had a blast in SF at the grand opening of the new Express store in Union Square! It was three stories of gorgeous, trendy clothing! We spent that whole afternoon in SF shopping and walking around and it is always so nice to get to the city every now and then.  So after arriving to the grand opening we were given $200 gift cards to spend that night and that was no hard task! I am absolutely loving Express's new fall line. Another awesome thing about the event... Jen and I got to meet Brooklyn Decker! She is absolutely one of the sweetest people I have ever met! She was so patient while my camera was acting up and was more than willing to take more than one photo! That is what being famous should be all about, being nice! All in all Jen and I had the experience of a lifetime and had a blast! Thank you Express and Brooklyn Decker!!

Now as for me, I'm off to ........ NYC!!!! Follow my social media to stay up to date on my pictures and experiences!!!! Have a blessed Monday!!!

Work to Wow!

So like I mentioned in a previous post, I was looking for an alternative make up routine for my mornings and had some help from my cousin Lynae who represents BeautiControl.  This post features the looks on how to take your make up from work to WOW. I always love dramatic eyes and makeup.  I guess I've been that way since I was a kid, I always liked mixing different colors.  Lynae took my makeup for work and turned it into this look for a night out. I definitely am more used to the second look as opposed to the first, but it felt nice to mix it up! Be sure and check out Lynae's website for more details about BeautiControl and all the services she has to offer!

If you were to ask me what my favorite accessory is my answer would be easy, SCARVES! I own too many however can't turn down a great steal on a perfect new one! I even have a wall for them in my room! I love how they can take an ordinary outfit and give it a little something extra. I found these adorable Mother Denim mint colored pants at Helen & Louise on super sale! They fit like they were made for me.  These shoes were too perfect! I found them at Kohls, Vera Wang sure knows how to design! Now I don't shop at Abercrombie anymore because of their ridiculous statements saying that only size 0's should wear their clothes, but I found this sweater on clearance YEARS ago and loved it.  You don't even want to get me started on the Abercrombie situation, I would encourage everyone to not shop there as well, simply unacceptable! Anyways! Loved this outfit for a day of shopping with my mom!
Have a great day!

Professional and Blue!

I am so excited that the weather is cooling off so I can finally start wearing all my sweaters!!! I absolutely love this tribal printed sweater from Deb Shops! I was originally unsure what I'd pair it with since its bright blue, but I'm so glad I got it because it gave this outfit just the right amount of flair! I paired it with these amazingly comfy black cropped pants from Deb Shops and it is just perfect! This is a perfect outfit for a day at the office! The sweater is nice and warm and the pants are seriously some of the most comfy ones I own! Love it!
Have a great day!!
